This course will facilitate the learner to explore supervisory roles within the Health Service with a view to reskilling/up-skilling and exploring concepts and subject areas required for future employment. This course at DFEi allows students to build upon their existing foundation and develop the advanced craftsmanship skills required for the furniture industry. The aim of this programme is to enable the learner to acquire the knowledge, skill and competence to work in a supervisory role in a stable with sport horses or race horses, or to progress to further or higher education and training.

It gives the learner a stronger understanding of the fashion industry and provides them with the skills to succeed in the world of fashion. QQI Level 6 fashion has a greater emphasis on sewing and pattern making to facilitate learners who wish to establish their own business or label.

This Fashion Buying, Styling and Visual Merchandising course is the perfect opportunity to gain insider knowledge into the world of fashion from Styling to Fashion Buying, Fashion Promotion to Business Management including Event Management and Sales. This course enables learners to gain the knowledge, skills and expertise required for an exciting career in the fashion industry. Some of our past students are now enjoying careers as fashion stylists, fashion buyers and merchandisers. Students plan, prepare and participate in the annual GTI Fashion Showcase (fashion show and exhibition), a great example of GTI's projects for applied learning..

This is year 2 of the Advanced Certificate in Early Learning and Care (Level 6). Learners will be provided with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to supervise in a range of Early Years services for children aged 0-6 years. The learners will have acquired the knowledge, skills and competence to work as autonomous practitioners and to take responsibility for a room or area in an ELC setting. 

The Early Learning and Care (Stage 2) course is designed to meet the needs of the growing childcare provision in Ireland and the Siolta Quality Framework and Aistear Curriculum. Many childcare settings are now seeking level 6 qualifications for their employees in line with the requirements of the ECCE scheme and new legislative requirements for the sector.

The Advanced Early Learning and Care, Stage 2 professional programme enables learners to further develop the knowledge, skills and competence to work as autonomous practitioners able to promote and support the holistic needs of children aged 0-6 years.

The content of this course is both practical and theoretical and prepares the learner to meet the requirements of a supervisory role in a childcare setting. Additionally, the programme provides a comprehensive grounding in the area of legislation and regulation of the childcare sector in Ireland.

The aim of this one year full-time programme is to enable the learner to acquire the knowledge, skills and competencies required to work as an autonomous practitioner in an ELC setting and/or take responsibility for an area or room and co-ordinating the provision of a quality early learning and care environment.

This course is designed to equip the learner with a high level of knowledge, skill and competence within a range of subjects related to the digital media and web design industry in which learners intend to seek employment or further study options in higher education. You will learn a wider range of areas in digital media production including: responsive web design, app design, digital film/video, digital sound, web animation and graphics, image processing and exploration of future technologies in the industry.

This course will equip learners (who already hold a QQI Level 5 related award or equivalent) with a range of skills and knowledge to implement and deliver community development programmes in a structured and co-ordinated way. It also provides a gateway to further study at Level 7 or Level 8.
