This course will provide students with the skills, knowledge and qualifications required to work as a nail technician. Students will learn from experienced experts who have worked in the industry. The course will also equip students to efficiently carry out massage and figure analysis treatments. 

Students will study and practise manicure treatments, pedicure treatments, eyelash extensions , brow lamination, BIAB nails, eyelash Lift, e-filing, spray tanning, nail extension systems (gel, acrylic, fiberglass, overlays), nail art, GelX, body massage & figure analysis, anatomy and physiology and product knowledge/cosmetic science. 

This course is designed for those who wish to pursue a career in a commercial retail and treatment setting such as large department stores that house specialist nail bars. It provides the learner with the highest level of practical and theoretical skills.

Upon completion, successful learners will have achieved an ITEC diploma and certificate, which are highly recognised International Qualifications. These much sought after qualifications will facilitate them to pursue a professional career as a nail technician both at home and internationally.

The Nail technology with Beauty Therapy course will be delivered through blended learning, as this will enhance the learner’s involvement, participation and understanding of the modules as it will provide the learners with a richer learning environment with the addition of flexibility to observe industry standard practice while on work experience. Course work will consist of a combination of onsite & online learning.

The Commis Chef Apprenticeship is a prestigious, state-recognized pathway designed for individuals aiming to become professional chefs. This two-year structured program utilizes a "dual-learning" model, alternating between intensive off-the-job training in a specialized college or center and practical, work-based experience. In the classroom, apprentices master the essential theory, food science, and culinary fundamentals. These skills are then honed and perfected to a professional standard in a live kitchen environment, where apprentices work under the mentorship of qualified, experienced chefs in SOLAS-approved establishments.

This apprenticeship programme is designed to ensure that the apprentice receives training, both on and off the job, which is formally regulated and of a consistent standard nationally.

The duration of the National Hairdressing Apprenticeship will be a minimum of three years with training consisting of 80% on-the-job education and training with the employer and 20% off-the-job training with Crumlin College on a day release basis.

The Hairdressing Apprenticeship is a practical route into a career in hairdressing where you will earn while you learn. Apprentices undergo training while working four days a week with their employer and attending college one day a week. Apprentices will be supported in the workplace by an approved Mentor and in the college by their teacher. Apprentices will graduate after three years as a fully qualified Hairdresser with a QQI Level 6 award on the National Framework of Qualifications.

The QQI level 6 National Tour Guide programme is a Special Purpose Award designed to prepare students for a professional career in tour guiding in Ireland. Delivered through a combination of online evening webinars, in-person weekend workshops, and familiarisation trips, the programme develops the practical knowledge, professional skills, and confidence required to guide both national and international visitors.

The National Tour Guide Training programme at Dublinia will provide participants with the skills, knowledge and competencies to deliver and manage a comprehensive tour management and guiding service for tourists visiting and travelling in Ireland. The programme is relevant, practical and responsive to industry needs.

There are three modules: Irish Tour Guiding, Irish Natural Heritage & Culture and National Tour Management. Each module carries 15 credits.

Develop the professional, technical, social and administrative skills needed to deliver a professional tour guiding experience to visitors. National Tour Guides may work anywhere in Ireland.

Nautical Science has three main elements: navigation, cargo operations, and ship operations. In other words, the control of a ship; the safe operation of a ship, including the protection of life and the environment; Shipboard administration, and the handling, loading and care of cargoes which may be as diverse as petroleum products, general cargo, or thousands of new cars or passengers.

This course is designed for those who wish to pursue a career as a deck officer aboard ship. It provides a comprehensive education in navigation and other ship board activities.

The programme is aimed at professional seafarers with an undergraduate degree in Nautical Science who want to further their education and expand employment opportunities both at sea and ashore. On completion of BSc Honours in Nautical Science – Professional successful candidates will be eligible to apply for a Chief Mate Certificate of Competency (CoC) oral examination.

This programme is also available as an Academic only mode of study.
