A bloodstock agent is responsible for purchasing horses for racing and breeding both privately and at public auctions as well as providing advice to clients on mating for mares, pedigrees and racing plans.  A bloodstock agent must have extensive knowledge on thoroughbred pedigrees, racing form, and conformation.

A work rider is responsible for riding Racehorses during workouts particularly in their fast work; they must be accomplished riders and be able to follow instructions to the letter. Riders must be in top physical shape and they must maintain appropriate riding weights—generally under 12 stone for Jump Racing and under 10 stone for Flat.

Supervises and manages the running of a fish farm.

The stud groom’s role encompasses a variety of positions from handling stallions to foaling-down broodmares or preparing yearlings and is fundamental to the day to day running and operation of any study farm.  A few tasks involved on a near daily basis are mucking out stalls, bringing horses in, educating foals and weanlings, and feeding horses.
