Working in this sector you will provide valuable support to vulnerable members of society who may be disadvantaged, disempowered or going through challenging times. Psychologists, Psychotherapists and Counsellors help people with emotional, psychological and behavioural issues. They work with individuals and groups in health and social care settings, industry, schools, universities and in private practice. Social Workers and Social Care workers support their clients to solve problems, access community services and empower them to take charge of their lives. They work in a wide range of settings with people who are homeless, have physical or intellectual disabilities, the elderly, children in care or custody and people with addiction issues. This is a challenging, yet very rewarding sector, where your interventions can make a positive impact and improve people’s quality of life.
