First impressions matter, and often the reception staff are the first people any person meets when ringing, emailing or visiting a business.

But there is far more to a receptionist's role than greeting people. They make sure calls reach the right people, make sure people get to the correct meetings and ensure people entering the building are authorised to be there.

The responsibilities of a Receptionist will often overlap with those of customer service, they will answer questions about products and handle complaints.
